While some Montreal Canadiens players aren't having a great start to the season, that's certainly not the case for Nick Suzuki.

The Canadiens' captain has collected 11 points in nine games since the start of the season and, as of this writing, he ranks 23rd among the NHL's leading scorers.

He notably got a goal and an assist Sunday night against the Philadelphia Flyers to extend his point streak to seven games.

With this performance, Suzuki joined a rather select list of players in the organization's history, as shared by the National Hockey League's public relations account on X.

Number 14 became the fifth player in Canadiens history 25 or younger to have a seven-game point streak.

Let's just say that Suzuki is in pretty good company because the other former greats on this list are no small feat.

We're talking about Steve Shutt, Shayne Corson, Bernard Geoffrion and the great Guy Lafleur.

Furthermore, according to publication X, Suzuki now has 74 multi-point games since joining the Canadiens, which places him eighth in history, tied with none other than Maurice Richard.

We can now say that Nick Suzuki will make history with the Montreal Canadiens and if he maintains a point-per-game pace, he will become the first CA player to reach the 80-point plateau since Alex Kovalev in the 2007-2008 season
