Jake Allen's departure: his wife reacts, and it's very emotional
For hockey management purposes, everyone is a bit relieved to see Jake Allen leave the Canadiens. The goaltending trio is finally over, and we can move on.
However, in terms of the human behind the mask, we will miss him a lot. Allen has a lot of class, and he leaves a beautiful legacy for the young players of the Habs.
Not only did he love playing for the Canadiens, but his wife and family were delighted to be in Montreal. It's with a heavy heart that the family is now moving to New Jersey.
In a private post on her social media, Shannon Allen reiterated her love for Quebec and expressed gratitude to the organization and the fans, in French.
It's hard not to be moved after such a post. Good luck with the Devils, Jake!
