The Canadiens won against the St. Louis Blues on Saturday night, but in the third period, Josh Anderson fell in combat and did not return to the game.

We agree that the loss of Anderson does not have the same meaning as that of a Nick Suzuki, for example, but he remains a player very appreciated by his teammates and he gives his all to every presence.

Following the game, the Canadiens flew to Philadelphia and Anderson's case was uncertain for the next day. The CH played two games in 24 hours, and Kent Hughes had to call someone in case he was not able to play.

This recall also confirmed that Juraj Slafkovsky was not available for the game. The Canadiens therefore had the right number of players for the short trip to Philadelphia.

Hughes therefore decided to recall a young 26-year-old player who is very popular in the organization, Lucas Condotta. Current captain of the Laval Rocket, Condotta received a very nice gift, even if he did not play.

The logical choice would have been to recall Alex Barré-Boulet, who is having an excellent season with Laval and who has much better skills than Condotta. He is also paid full salary in the American League, so his recall did not cost the organization more.

Hughes decided to spend more money and recall Condotta and pay him 10 times more than his usual salary. This is huge and it shows the very nice gesture made to him.

We know that Condotta is one of the first recalled by the Canadiens because he is very popular, and he is thanked in this way. High class!
