When he left in the summer of 2021 to join the Kings, Phillip Danault's absence was immediately felt by the Montreal Canadiens.

Indeed, the forward was crucial to the team's success, and although Marc Bergevin tried to fill his void with Christian Dvorak, it is clear that this move was a failure.

Phillip Danault excels in defensive roles and also accumulated his share of points, especially alongside Tomas Tatar and Brendan Gallagher.

An improved Phillip Danault has been acquired in Michael Hage

According to Simon Boisvert, the new prospect is an enhanced version of Phillip Danault. He is very good in defensive roles, while having a better skating ability and a better shot.

This is also the belief of Grant McCagg, the former CH scout. He even thinks that Michael Hage has a good enough shot to score at all levels and will score prolifically in the NHL.

Michael Hage will start his collegiate career this year in the NCAA. We will see him in Montreal in 2 to 3 years, after two years in the NCAA and one in the American League, according to McCagg.
