Martin St-Louis confirms a very surprising piece of news
Last Saturday, Samuel Montembeault was brilliant against the Dallas Stars despite the loss, making 35 saves on 38 shots. Jake Allen didn't have the same impact on Sunday, allowing 7 goals.
While the Ducks are in town at the Bell Centre on Tuesday night, it was expected that number 35 would be back, but that's not the case. Martin St-Louis has just confirmed the news.
"Martin St-Louis confirms that Cayden Primeau will get the start against Anaheim on Tuesday." - Montreal Canadiens It's quite surprising, especially as the Canadiens have just suffered two consecutive losses. Primeau hasn't played in almost a month, which is likely a factor in St-Louis' decision.
The Canadiens play on Thursday and Saturday against the Rangers and the Capitals. So, we should expect Montembeault to get both starts, unless there's a surprise or a very poor performance.
