Martin St-Louis confirms the news
The Canadiens lost the first of two weekend matchups on Saturday against the Dallas Stars. It's a rare Saturday defeat at the Bell Centre, but Martin St-Louis's men held their own against a superior team.
Samuel Montembeault once again had a strong performance, making 35 saves on 38 shots. However, he won't be available on Sunday, following the Canadiens' and most NHL teams' logic today, which avoids using the same goaltender in consecutive games within a 24-hour period.
As expected, but now confirmed by the coach, Jake Allen will be in net on Sunday.
"Martin St-Louis indicates that Jake Allen will get the start in net against the Blues on Sunday" - Montreal Canadiens
So, Cayden Primeau will have to wait for his turn once again. The goaltending situation must be frustrating for all three involved.
Even Montembeault doesn't get to guard the net as often as he should as the number one, and the other two have to take what's left.
