Martin St-Louis has just made a bold decision, and the reactions are numerous
It's been a long wait with the All-Star break and the bye week, but it's now over. Brendan Gallagher will be in uniform Thursday night after serving his five-game suspension.
The least we can say is that the forward must be happy to be back in action. For once, he managed to stay away from the infirmary, but he still missed nearly a month with this situation.
Martin St-Louis has an important decision to make, namely which forward to sit out Thursday night. Still lacking centermen, Brandon Gignac should normally remain in the lineup.
Logic would suggest that Joshua Roy is sent back to Laval, but that's not the case. Instead, it's Jesse Ylonen who is scratched from the lineup.
"Jesse Ylonen is the only forward on the ice at the optional practice. He will give way to Brendan Gallagher tonight." - Renaud Lavoie
It's a great show of confidence from the coach towards the young Roy. Many consider this decision bold, as the easy move would have been to simply send Joshua back.
To be honest, I love to see that!
