No Canadiens players were on the ice 15 minutes before the start in Brossard
A surprising scene took place today at the CN Sports Complex in Brossard: at 10:15 a.m., 15 minutes before practice began, the ice was completely empty.
Usually, several players are already present to do individual exercises, but today, it was the calm before the storm.
Marc-Olivier Cook put forward an interesting hypothesis to explain this situation:
"My feeling: MSL talks to his guys in the room to make sure they have a big practice."
If this is true, it shows the importance that Martin St-Louis gives to the mental preparation of his players. A briefing before practice could be an effective strategy to maximize the intensity of practice.
It is also important to note that Justin Barron, who was injured following contact with Jacob Trouba during the last game, was already on the ice this morning in Brossard. His rehabilitation is progressing well and his return would be beneficial for the Canadiens.
At only 22 years old, Barron has enormous potential, and let's just say that his presence, on the right, would be welcome.
Remember that the Montreal Canadiens will host the St. Louis Blues this Saturday at the Bell Centre.
