While Steven Stamkos' name is on everyone's lips and barring a huge surprise, he will likely play elsewhere than Tampa Bay next season, it could indeed be Patrick Kane who ends up with the Habs.
Last year, Kane accumulated 47 points in 50 games with the Red Wings, after missing the first half of the season due to surgery. That's very solid given the circumstances.
