Patrik Laine's problems: it's now Pascal Vincent's turn to react
There have been several rumors suggesting that Patrik Laine had a bad attitude and even a poor relationship with Pascal Vincent.
Recently hired by the Laval Rocket to coach the team, Pascal Vincent, who has coached Patrik Laine with both the Jets and the Blue Jackets, was asked to comment on his relationship with the Finnish player.
This was Vincent's first press conference since his signing, and while it was supposed to be about the rookie camp, journalists quickly turned the conversation to Patrik Laine.
The coach took the opportunity to clarify the situation, stating that he has a very good relationship with the forward.
"My relationship with Patrik Laine has always been good. I tease him all the time."
"Probably the most talented player I've coached. An incredible acquisition for the Canadiens." - Pascal Vincent
Of course, the fact that Laine was benched last season raised a lot of questions, but Vincent assured that it wasn't because he deserved it.
"It was an organizational decision,» he explained. «Some things happened that will remain private. I've learned that communication is super important."
In any case, Patrik Laine is far from being a locker room problem, and he intends to prove that. He's an excellent hockey player, and I have no doubt that he will bounce back.
