Sad announcement from the Montreal Canadiens and the NHL
The NHL has issued an official statement in the past few hours, and it's very sad news for the Montreal Canadiens organization.
Indeed, former member of the organization, Paul Masnick, has passed away at the age of 92. He was the oldest surviving member of the 1953 Stanley Cup-winning edition of the Montreal Canadiens.
"Masnick dies at 92, was oldest surviving member of '53 Canadiens Cup winner"
- NHL Official Statement
In 232 career games, mostly played with the Canadiens but also with the Maple Leafs and the Blackhawks, Masnick collected 59 points including 18 goals.
Our condolences go out to Paul's family and loved ones during this sad time.
