The news is confirmed by Martin St-Louis and the Canadiens
Martin St-Louis just confirmed some sad news, and it's not reassuring for the Canadiens.
Indeed, we all know that Arber Xhekaj's season is over, as he underwent surgery today. Rumors suggested that he wasn't particularly injured during a game, but rather had been dealing with this injury for some time.
That's exactly what happened and it was confirmed by Coach St-Louis.
"Martin St-Louis says he thinks Arber Xhekaj's latest shoulder injury happened over time and not in one particular game / instance."
- Priyanta Emrith
It's worrying because it clearly shows that his style of play is very demanding and he's vulnerable to shoulder injuries.
We sincerely hope that his surgery will be successful and prevent this kind of injury, but it's still quite concerning.
To succeed in the NHL, Xhekaj needs to be a robust defenseman. Without his shoulders, his career won't be very long, I'm afraid.
