The rumor is confirmed about Logan Mailloux and it's making a lot of noise
Without a doubt, Logan Mailloux is an excellent hockey player with a lot of potential, but his future might not be in Montreal.
The scoop of the week comes from Marco Normandin, who mentions that Kent Hughes rejected a trade at the last minute on the draft floor. Logan Mailloux was headed to Anaheim with the 21st pick, while Trevor Zegras would have come to Montreal with a second-round pick.
It is believed that Michael Hage is the reason the trade fell through. The Canadiens didn't want to let him go, even though Zegras would now be a member of the Habs.
This is just a theory, but one thing is certain: Kent Hughes needs to trade one or more defensemen in the near future to improve other positions.
According to Simon Boisvert, Logan Mailloux is that defenseman.
"And since then, we wonder when a similar trade (which was great for the Canadiens) will happen again. After all, it's been two years since the Romanov trade to the Islanders.
On this topic, during his most recent appearance with Tony Marinaro, Simon Snake' Boisvert said he wouldn't be surprised if the next player to undergo such a fate is Logan Mailloux.
In his view, the Alex Romanov treatment' might be reserved for him."

Let's recall that Romanov brought a 13th overall pick to the Canadiens, and then Kent Hughes traded that pick for Kirby Dach.
Will Logan Mailloux be the next player to bring a big return to the Habs?
