Trade between the Canadiens and the Blackhawks: their player signs
It's in June 2022 that Kirby Dach was traded to the Canadiens in exchange for the 13th overall pick. That pick has now signed his first professional contract with the Blackhawks.
Indeed, Frank Nazar has now signed, coming straight from the NCAA. Similar to Lane Hutson, his season has ended, and he will use up one year of his contract.
There is a lot of pressure on the young Nazar, as Dach is becoming a standout hockey player. It's unfortunate that Dach was injured all season.
In 41 games this year in the NCAA, Nazar tallied 41 points, which is quite good. Being the 13th overall pick, he could have a significant impact on the Hawks in the coming years.
