Very interesting acquisition alert in the Canadiens organization: Defenseman Keenan MacIsaac agrees to terms with the Lions
The acquisitions made by the Canadiens and the Rocket are often scrutinized for their potential impact at the NHL level, but there's also a third level to consider.
Indeed, some signings made by the Trois-Rivières Lions can turn out to be very pleasant surprises. This was notably the case with John Parker-Jones, who played with the Rocket and participated in the Canadiens' training camp.
The Lions have just made an acquisition that follows this trend, as defenseman Keenan MacIsaac, from the collegiate ranks, has just signed with the team.
It's always intriguing when a 24-year-old player like MacIsaac emerges from the collegiate ranks. They are clearly players who can surprise and have an immediate impact.
Keenan is part of that group. Don't be surprised if he climbs the ranks quickly and finds himself in Laval and at the next Canadiens' camp before long.
