Hockey is a contact sport where emotions can run high during games. It creates rivalries and usually provides great entertainment.

However, there are also instances of overstepping boundaries, and some players may experience brain cramps. Just ask Jeremy Lauzon of the Nashville Predators, who fell victim to Austin Watson of the Tampa Bay Lightning.

For absolutely no reason, the Lightning forward targeted Lauzon with a slapshot late in the game, hitting him. Even Watson's teammates seem puzzled by what's happening, with one of them going directly to check on Lauzon.

It's a truly stupid and dangerous move that has no place in hockey. It's the kind of decision that tarnishes the sport. Watson will likely face significant punishment for this, hopefully.

Here's a similar sequence involving former Canadiens player Lyle Odelein.
