Terrible news for Patrick Roy and the Islanders: it would be over for their chances of making the NHL playoffs if Anders Lee is suspended
Since Patrick Roy took over as head coach of the New York Islanders, the team has experienced ups and downs. There was real belief in their playoff chances two weeks ago, but hope is dwindling with the potential absence of Anders Lee.
Indeed, the team could be without their captain as they've just lost 7 of their last 8 games.
Roy's squad is now 4 points behind the Capitals and a playoff spot, and their big problem is their inability to score goals.
If Anders Lee is indeed to miss some games, it would be catastrophic. He collided with Nico Hischier of the New Jersey Devils, and a meeting with the NHL's Department of Player Safety seems inevitable.
