Clearly, change is needed in Toronto, and it couldn't be clearer. The team keeps losing in the first round, and now the ownership is getting involved.

"When the message comes from the owners, things are really stirring. It's like Geoff Molson saying we absolutely need to win."

- Keith Pelley, CEO of MLSE, the ownership company of the Maple Leafs, seems to be in no mood to take prisoners.

Clearly, it's the last chance year for President Brendan Shanahan. He'll be quickly replaced if the team doesn't meet playoff expectations next year.

As for the stars, no one is guaranteed to stay. The two who shouldn't worry too much are Auston Matthews and William Nylander, but Tavares, Marner, and even Rielly are on the hot seat.
