Unfortunately, we didn't learn much more about the case. The responses were very elusive, and the information was quite minimal, except for the fact that Michael McLeod faces two charges, while the other players face one each.
However, one thing confirmed by Hockey Canada is that all players from the 2018 edition remain indefinitely suspended from international competitions.
This means that the possibly best defenseman in the world, Cale Makar, may not be able to participate in the upcoming Olympics, even though he is innocent.
The trial is likely far from over at this point, so it would be a significant loss for Team Canada and for Makar himself, who might not have the chance to represent his country.
If Hockey Canada has taken this action, it is probably to put pressure on those who know things and remain silent. Let's hope for a resolution before that and that justice is served.
