It is very possible that some Canadiens fans have forgotten Pierre-Alexandre Parenteau's time with the organization 10 years ago.

Acquired from the Colorado Avalanche in the summer of 2014 in exchange for Daniel Brière, his time in Montreal was not very conclusive, as he only collected 22 points, including eight goals in 56 games during the 2014-2015 season.

It should be remembered that the Quebec forward had obtained, a few seasons before, a harvest of 67 points with the New York Islanders and he had a certain John Tavares as his linemate.

But despite the fact that his NHL career ended during the 2016-2017 season, Parenteau, now 41 years old, is attempting a return to play with the Bouctouche team in the LHSB.

The former Canadiens' last professional season was in 2017-2018, when he wore the colours of the Yekaterinburg Automobilist in the KHL.

Note that Parenteau is not the only hockey player well-known to Quebecers to join the Bouctouche team. A certain Patrice Cormier will also wear the uniform of this LHSB team for the 2024-2025 season.

A former player for the Chicoutimi Saguenéens in the QMJHL, Pierre-Alexandre Parenteau was a ninth-round pick by the Anaheim Mighty Ducks in the 2001 draft.

After spending several seasons in the American League during the 2000s, the forward from Outaouais truly made his mark in the NHL with the New York Islanders at the turn of the 2010s.

In his career in the Bettman circuit, he collected 296 points, including 114 goals in 491 games with eight different teams.
