Over the past few days, Joshua Roy has been in the headlines a lot in Quebec.

He first had an excellent game on Friday with two goals and an assist in a 5-2 victory for the Laval Rocket against the Syracuse Crunch, but this great performance was overshadowed by an off-ice event that occurred two days later.

While he was expected this Sunday for an autograph session in Vaudreuil, Roy ultimately did not show up for this appointment, as reported by Max Truman of the Danslescoulisses.com website.

In addition, the owner of the establishment expressed his frustration via social networks, while apologizing to hockey fans who had traveled to meet the player from the Montreal Canadiens organization.

We understand that players have busy schedules, but a simple message to report his absence would have been greatly appreciated

However, as reported by the site Habsolumentfan.com, it seems that there was a misunderstanding between Joshua Roy and his agent, Olivier Fortier.

His agent, Olivier Fortier, also commented on the situation on BPM Sports, mentioning that the 21-year-old forward was not at all to blame because he did not have to show up for the event according to his schedule and that it was not an oversight on his part.

Still according to Fortier, the autograph session in question was not part of Roy's agenda and that he was only following instructions.

Sometimes we have to try to find out what really happened because since the announcement that Joshua Roy did not show up for the autograph session, we can say that some hockey fans have strongly criticized him via social networks.

We can only hope that this story sinks into oblivion as quickly as possible and that Joshua Roy is talked about for his performances on the ice.
