Juraj Slafkovsky suffers blow to the head and leaves the match
Montreal Canadiens forward Juraj Slafkovsky left the game against the Pittsburgh Penguins, due to a shoulder hit to the head, courtesy of Noel Acciari.
See here:
The same player had already received a visit from the Sheriff, following a body check.
And, Acciari also pushed Brendan Gallagher in the back, near the net, a little later in the game.
The 32-year-old forward is playing his role as a little pest very well with the Pittsburgh team. In 12 games this season, he has collected three points.
As Marc-Antoine Godin of Radio-Canada pointed out, Acciari made several questionable hits tonight.
"A few slightly questionable hits from Acciari tonight, including on Matheson, Dvorak and now Gallagher" -Marc-Antoine Godin
At the end of the game, Xhekaj clearly wanted to get his message to Acciari, but it was Jayden Struble and Ryan Graves who threw in the towel:
Despite a punishing practice on Friday, the Montreal Canadiens were unable to defeat the Pittsburgh Penguins and lost 2-1.
The Montreal Canadiens will host the visiting Calgary Flames this Tuesday at 7 p.m., before heading to New Jersey on Thursday to face the Devils.
