Marc-André Fleury with the Canadiens' rival to finish his career?
During his last visit to Montreal, Marc-André Fleury appeared before the fans at the Bell Centre with a smile as he was announced as the first star of the game. For a rare moment, the fans in attendance were chanting the name of an opponent.
He is at home when he comes to Montreal, and people make sure he feels at home. However, the applause could be short-lived.
Indeed, Marc-André has a full no-trade clause in his contract, but according to Pierre LeBrun, he would be willing to waive it to be traded to a specific team: the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The trade deadline is March 8, and magically, the Canadiens face the Leafs on March 9. This means that if such a scenario unfolds, Fleury could come and play one last game in Montreal.
Imagine the Hometown goaltender returning home in the uniform of the Canadiens' arch-enemy. I don't know if the fans would be as warm towards him.
