Passing of Johnny Gaudreau: A first verdict is delivered for Sean Higgins
The driver responsible for the tragic death of brothers Johnny Gaudreau and Matthew Gaudreau has received an initial verdict from a judge.
He has been in prison since the incident and will remain there until the next hearing on September 13.
There was speculation about whether the judge would release him in the meantime, but now we have the answer.
In my opinion, this is very good news, especially considering that his chances of being cleared are slim to none.
Higgins admitted to drinking five or six beers before driving and faces multiple charges, including dangerous driving causing death.
Additional charges, such as criminal negligence, could be added.
One thing is certain: Sean Higgins remains in prison for now and will not be released unless cleared, which seems highly unlikely.
