Let's be honest, Jonathan Drouin has been a real steal for the Colorado Avalanche this season, arguably the biggest bargain in the entire NHL.

His 56 points, including 50 in the last 58 games, are a career-high for him. It's clear that reuniting with Nathan MacKinnon has significantly benefited him.

A return and a new contract for Drouin?

This is what AFP Analytics, the most reliable firm for determining a player's value, is suggesting.

According to them, Drouin could sign a deal worth $20 million over the next four years, averaging $5 million per season.

Of course, there are still doubts about Jo. He had a good season, yes, but the confidence of general managers in him is fragile.

Nonetheless, MacKinnon absolutely wants him to stay, and given the help he provided to Colorado this season, Jo definitely deserves a new contract with a significant pay increase.

It will all depend on how much cap space the team has, especially since Gabriel Landeskog, against all odds, is expected to return to play during the season.
