Tyler Toffoli back home and it would be the end for Elias Lindholm

Many rumors have linked Tyler Toffoli to the Canadiens in recent weeks, as he has been spotted in Montreal and wearing a Habs jersey in Toronto.

Indeed, this rings a bell, especially given the love he and his wife have for the city. They were happy here, and it showed.

Now that the option of signing with the Jets is practically 100% off the table, Toffoli will become an unrestricted free agent on July 1st.

According to David Pagnotta, Toffoli is being courted by two of his former teams, the Canucks and the Kings.

The Canadiens shouldn't be ruled out, but the two Western teams are the most likely destinations according to Pagnotta.

As for Elias Lindholm, it would officially be the end with the Canucks as he tries his luck on the free agent market.

His wife posted a message mentioning their departure from Vancouver, and she responded to a user saying it's related to his future free agent status. That seems quite clear.

So, Lindholm's stint in Vancouver will have been short-lived, and the Canucks will have paid a high price for his acquisition in vain.
