Acquisition of a tough guy well-known in the NHL: defenseman Kurtis MacDermid is traded and headed to New Jersey
While the trade deadline is a week away and there are around 20 regular-season games remaining, there will be more and more transactions in the NHL until March 8.
This year, many teams are still in the playoff race, making it a seller's market.
The New Jersey Devils urgently need to address two aspects, namely their size in front of the net. They have just significantly addressed the first issue.
Indeed, Kurtis MacDermid is heading to New Jersey in exchange for Zakhar Bardakov and a first-round pick in 2024.
It's an excellent move for the Devils, but they still need to find help in the goaltending position. Could Jake Allen be someone to assist them? That's something we'll see shortly.
