Milan Lucic in prison? The verdict is now in, and Gary Bettman has a crucial decision to make
Milan Lucic has been absent from the game for several months, facing criminal charges of assault against his partner. She even mentioned that he verbally abused their child. He was at risk of going to prison.
Lucic has consistently denied the accusations, but he couldn't play until the trial took place. It's now confirmed this morning: he has been cleared.
"The domestic violence case against Boston Bruins winger Milan Lucic has been dismissed. He is leaving the courthouse after a pretrial hearing."
The tough guy now has one goal in mind: to return to the NHL. To achieve this, he will need to convince Gary Bettman and the Bruins.
"Milan Lucic wants to return to the NHL and his attorneys are confident today's decision by prosecutors to drop his domestic assault case will make it possible for him in the future, per WCVB.
Lucic plans to meet with commissioner Gary Bettman." - Via NHL News
If all goes well, Lucic could rejoin the Massachusetts team just in time for the final stretch of the season and the playoffs.
