Plot twist in the Milan Lucic situation: The Boston Bruins make a decision, and it's officially over for him
This morning, we learned that Milan Lucic has been cleared of all charges, concluding his legal journey, and he expresses his desire to return to the NHL.
It's significant news, and there was speculation about whether the Bruins would be better with him in the lineup. However, it seems we may never find out.
Indeed, the organization has decided not to reintegrate him into the team.
"Bruins statement: «Milan Lucic will remain on indefinite leave from the organization for the remainder of the 2023-24 season. The Boston Bruins organization supports Milan and his family as he continues his personal rehabilitation.»
Lucic is on a one-year deal"
This officially means that the forward remains on leave for the rest of the season, and his contract with the Bruins will be terminated. If another team is interested, he could sign a new contract this summer to play next year, but his participation for this season seems officially over.
The only way he could play this season is if he reaches an agreement with the Bruins to terminate his contract and signs with another team before March 8th.
