High-quality duos have always existed, and it's always exciting. Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin, Nathan MacKinnon and Mikko Rantanen, Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, Mario Lemieux and Jaromir Jagr, and so many others have dazzled us over the years.
According to journalist Mark Lazerus, who works for The Athletic, Kirill Kaprizov has already made his choice for his next destination, and he wants to join young Connor Bedard in Chicago.
His current contract ends in 2026, in two years, and his wish is to sign with Chicago at that time. He currently earns 9 million per year, but with 330 points in 278 career games, all while playing with no other stars, that amount should increase.
At 27, Kaprizov has gotten pretty much everything he wanted since arriving in the NHL. He waited for the right moment and came in late, with just one year at $925,000. He then signed for 5 years and $45 million, and his production exploded, with 108 points the following year.
Connor Bedard has only one year of experience in the NHL, but we can already guess that he will also average more than a point per game. Imagine the duo that would create if this were to happen!
