A Hometown player is let go from the Montreal Canadiens organization, and it's forward William Lemay
It is indeed a very unique and rare way to announce the end of an association between a team and a player.
The Trois-Rivières Lions have just made an announcement that is generating a lot of reactions. People are asking questions, but we still don't have answers regarding the reasons that led the team affiliated with the Canadiens to make such a decision.
Here is their statement:
"The Trois-Rivières Lions have placed forward William Lemay on the suspended players' list in order to remove him from the lineup.
Good luck in the future, William!"
- Trois-Rivières Lions
So, William is suspended by the team for contract termination purposes, but they wish him good luck in his future endeavors.
