A very promising prospect is confident he will be drafted by the Canadiens
Anthony Martineau did an immense job at the NHL Combine, enabling Canadiens fans to learn more about the prospects who will be selected in a few days, in Nashville.
Incidentally, during his interview with one of the best prospects of the 2023 class, a very interesting statement was made regarding the Canadiens. Indeed, following his meeting with the Tricolore's top brass, Ethan Gauthier stated that he was confident his name would be called by the Canadiens on June 28.
The Quebecer is perceived to be selected between the 20th and 35th spot in the draft. He strongly believes that he will be drafted by the Tricolore, if he's still available when General Manager Kent Hughes speaks at the 31st spot.

The son of Denis Gauthier had an excellent season in the QMJHL this year. Playing alongside Canadiens' prospect, Joshua Roy, the 18-year-old forward scored 30 goals and 39 assists (69 points) in 66 games with the Sherbrooke Phoenix.
He also scored 6 goals and an assist in 5 games with the Canadian team at the Hlinka-Gretzky Cup, registering as many or even more points than players such as Zach Benson, Andrew Cristall, Matthew Wood, and Colby Barlow.
Ethan Gauthier describes himself as a power forward, who has an excellent shot, a good sense of the game, and greatly enjoys bothering the opponent, by performing solid body checks. While the prospect is well-liked by his teammates, he confirms that it's the exact opposite regarding his opponents. He compares himself to the Tkachuk brothers!
