Martin St-Louis is known for his quotes that resonate strongly. He has a way of explaining things that is unique and easy to understand.

Recently, he said something that gave chills to many fans, including people who have been in the hockey world for a long time.

"If it were my last day on this planet and you asked me what I would like to do, I would tell you that I want to be in this arena on a Saturday night." - Martin St-Louis

Obviously, he was referring to the Bell Centre. The Canadiens have a record of 6-0-2 on Saturday nights at home this season, and it's not a coincidence. The crowd is simply electrifying, and the team members feel it.

For Le Baron Alain Chantelois, it's the most powerful statement made by a Canadiens executive in a very long time.

"This is the biggest statement I've heard from a Canadiens executive in centuries.

Don't forget that the Canadiens snubbed him twice... in the draft and on waivers. He's a Hall of Famer. It's simple; he just told free agents, 'Montreal is the place to play hockey.' I was sincerely dazzled by this statement."

One can say that he makes a very good point. The Martin St-Louis effect, and we could add Kent Hughes, will greatly help the organization in signing free agents. With the tax rate much higher than many places in the league, it takes something special to attract them to Montreal.
