Breaking: Latest major details about Carey Price
The Canadiens have never really provided details about Carey Price's injury, and the organization has not confirmed that his career is over. We know it, of course, but as of today, the Canadiens could easily provide more details.
It's rather through Dr. Mulder that we got all the details, and it's become very clear. The man who spent 60 years of his life with the Canadiens first said that Price's career is officially over. He provided these details:
"It was very frustrating for us and doubly so for him. We realized he had two injuries," he explained, noting that it was during an initial operation that they had the very bad surprise of discovering a second major injury.
"He was injured in the meniscus, so we sent him to New York for an operation, and during that, the surgeon found that the femur had lost all its cartilage. It was a surprise and that's what ended his career."
Dr. Mulder
It's crazy when you think about it! Poor Carey, who must have seen his whole world collapse when he found out. Athletes train their whole lives to become the best in the world; they make a lot of compromises. It's really sad that it ended this way for him.
