Breaking news on Arber Xhekaj's health
In Thursday night's game, Arber Xhekaj took a hard hit from Ivan Barbashev in the corner of the rink and left the game for the locker room. He did not return to the game.
There were questions about whether it was a precautionary measure, and it turns out it was not. Xhekaj is indeed injured.
The somewhat positive news is that the defenseman is being evaluated daily. The injury does not seem too severe, but enough for him to miss the team's practice on Friday.
The Canadiens are embarking on a five-game road trip starting Saturday night in Boston. We await updates on whether Xhekaj will be part of this trip.
