Former Montreal organization forward, Jean-Sébastien Dea, was recently on the podcast "Sans restriction" hosted by Kevin Raphaël. The Quebecer made a major statement about his future and his desire to stay in Arizona.

Indeed, the man himself admitted that he would rather leave for Switzerland mid-season if the opportunity presented itself to him than to stay in the Coyotes organization.

Jean-Sébastien Dea, who has only played 37 games in the NHL since his professional debut, mentioned that it was becoming more and more mentally hard for him.

Holding a two-way contract for the 2023-2024 season, the former Laval Rocket admitted that he had thought about the possibility of leaving for Europe several times in the past year.

Moreover, the forward from Laval even went as far as to say that at certain moments, he saw his career only as a job and he had no more pleasure to jump on the ice.

After all, we can understand him!

Despite impressive statistics in the American League, who reached the 50 points plateau in his last two seasons with the Tucson Roadrunners and the Laval Rocket, the 29-year-old center never really had a chance to establish himself in the NHL.

Do you believe that Jean-Sebastien Dea will play his last season in North America this year?

One thing is certain, we sincerely hope that he will reflect long and hard about his situation and that he will make the best decision for him and for his future career!
