Former Hometown player from the Montreal Canadiens bitterly regrets leaving the organization
The Montreal Canadiens currently have the team with the most Hometown players in the entire NHL. It hasn't always been the case, but it is now. However, what cannot be blamed on the organization is that their AHL affiliate team still has many "local guys" from Quebec.
Players like Alex Belzile and Anthony Richard took the chance to change organizations but lost. Both are currently in the AHL, far from home, when they could be playing with the Rocket.
In previous years, Laurent Dauphin made the same decision and now regrets it. Nevertheless, Dauphin has played 21 games with the Arizona Coyotes, which is already better than his compatriots Belzile and Richard.
Laurent is currently playing in the top Swiss league and is having a very good start to the season. The important thing is to be happy, and he is, even though he has regrets.
