Huge surprise expected on the NHL waivers concerning two players from the Montreal Canadiens
We are officially twelve days away from the start of the NHL season, and several surprises could be announced in the coming hours.
Why? Because as of today, starting at 2 p.m., the general managers of the NHL can submit players for waivers for the upcoming year.
"Teams can place their players on waivers today at 2 p.m. ET.
Today marks the 12th day before the start of the NHL season, which will kick off on October 10th.
Consequently, the waiver period for the season officially opens today." - CapFriendly
Of course, there are two players who are currently the talk of the town with the Tricolore, namely Joel Armia and Cayden Primeau, who clearly no longer fit into the organization's plans.
Will we witness a surprise in the next few hours?
There is no certainty that either of them will actually be placed on waivers, but let's bet that Montreal fans would be very happy if such a decision were made, especially in the case of the Finnish forward.
Additionally, we should watch Montreal Canadiens' General Manager, Kent Hughes, who might potentially try to add a player to his lineup if a young player with interesting potential is available.
One thing is for sure, this will be a file to closely monitor throughout the day!
