The Canadiens has finally found its second center after a major acquisition was made by Kent Hughes
At last summer's draft, the general manager of the Montreal Canadiens hit a real home run by acquiring the young center, Kirby Dach. Although he was destined for a promising future, there were many concerns regarding the former third overall pick, who was often injured and had never reached the 30-point plateau in the NHL.
However, the 22-year-old forward quickly silenced his critics last season by experiencing a meteoric rise. He immediately established himself as a front-line player who can evolve in Martin St-Louis' top-6, scoring 14 goals and 24 assists (38 points) in 58 games.
Now fully healthy, Kirby Dach once again showed why he is a major addition to the Tricolore in the match against the Senators last night. Possessing exceptional game vision, the youngster has all the attributes to succeed in the NHL. Moreover, he excels in defensive territory and is able to get involved physically, making him a very complete player on the ice.
One thing is certain, the future looks bright for Kirby Dach, and everything suggests that the Montreal Canadiens have finally found a center player capable of playing on the team's top two lines. We are greatly looking forward to seeing how he will perform this season, but there is no doubt that the forward has incredible talent that will allow the organization to take a big step forward in its rebuild.

Selected 3rd overall by the Chicago Blackhawks in 2019, the 6'4" and 212-pound center has immense potential, and we strongly hope that he will develop to the best of his abilities.
