Important announcement from the Montreal Canadiens: An initiative that will please all enthusiasts of environmental protection
The Montreal Canadiens, in partnership with Rio Tinto, have made an important and highly appreciated announcement in the past few hours.
There will no longer be plastic cups at the Bell Centre. They will be replaced by reusable aluminum cups, significantly reducing the ecological footprint.
"Rio Tinto and the Canadiens are teaming up to protect the environment. Fans can enter the game while enjoying their favorite beverage in a low-carbon aluminum cup, produced locally and infinitely recyclable. These cups will replace approximately 1.5 million single-use plastic cups each year, preventing 24 tons of plastic from ending up in our environment. It's a victory for the environment."

It is by taking initiatives like these that a giant in Quebec, the Montreal Canadiens, as well as Evenko, set an example for many others.
Let's hope that many companies will follow suit. If it's possible at the Bell Centre, it's also possible at festivals and many other indoor and outdoor events.
