It's now confirmed for Cayden Primeau and Jake Allen
Despite Samuel Montembeault getting the last two starts, it seems like the three-goalie situation continues at the Canadiens. Before the Monday and Thursday games, it was Jake Allen who faced the Red Wings on Saturday night.
Now, it's Cayden Primeau's turn, as Martin St-Louis confirmed that the young man will be in the net on Saturday night.
"Head coach Martin St-Louis confirms that Cayden Primeau will get the start in Buffalo on Saturday."
- Montreal Canadiens
This does little to quell the rumors surrounding Jake Allen, who is increasingly seen as the goalie who will be sacrificed.
Primeau will have the chance to redeem himself from his last game, where he was quite ordinary. So, it's his opportunity to prove that he can back up Samuel Montembeault and instill confidence in the team when they call on him.
