Jake Allen trade: there was a significant buyer at the game between the Montreal Canadiens and the Los Angeles Kings
There are two certain things in the NHL right now. Firstly, the Canadiens have a goalie on the market; it remains to be determined which one.
Secondly, the Oilers are in search of a goaltender to improve their team, which has been lacking in that department for a long time and is in dire need of key saves.
Rumors between the two teams have been incessant for a few weeks. Insiders are having trouble agreeing. Either Samuel Montembeault is the target, or it's Jake Allen, or there's no negotiation between the two clubs.
That's what Pierre LeBrun mentioned during his recent appearance on BPM Sports, but there have been further developments today.
There was another Oilers scout at the Canadiens' game today. It's the third consecutive game of Jake Allen that one of their scouts has been present. Certainly not a coincidence.
To be continued, but clearly, this story will continue to be a topic of discussion.
