Last minute announcement involving the forward Christian Dvorak
Several experts expected that the 27-year-old forward, Christian Dvorak, might possibly be able to start the season on time, as he seemed very comfortable on the ice in recent days.
However, the general manager of the Canadiens, Kent Hughes, unfortunately confirmed this morning that the center player will have to be absent for a few more weeks, definitely missing the opening game against the Toronto Maple Leafs on October 11th.

Let's remember that Dvorak missed the end of the season last year due to a serious knee injury that necessitated surgery to allow him to return to full capacity.
However, Kent Hughes still announced good news, which is the strategy the team's medical staff will use this season. Indeed, he indicated that they will not try to rush the players' return, hoping to avoid them aggravating their injuries when they are back in the lineup.
"We are not trying to rush the return of the players; we do not want to go through the cycle that we have experienced, so if D-Vo needs to wait one or two more games or a week or two to ensure that he is ready to come back permanently, we will do it." - Kent Hughes
It's an excellent idea, especially considering the number of injuries sustained by the Canadiens last year. The management clearly wants to adopt a new technique to minimize the risks of injuries, and this could be greatly beneficial for the organization.
Since his arrival in Montreal, Christian Dvorak has accumulated 21 goals and 40 assists (61 points) in 120 games with the Canadiens. There is no doubt that he will helm a third line when he is able to be reinstated into Martin St. Louis's lineup.
