MAJOR: The Habs announce the hiring of Paul Byron immediately after his retirement and his new role is known
A few minutes following the announcement of Paul Byron's official retirement, the Montreal Canadiens organization also announced that they have hired their former player.
"Paul Byron will now serve as a consultant for the development of the Canadiens' players, after having played 12 seasons in the NHL."
Montreal Canadiens
Wow! We love this hiring move by the Tricolore, especially given the fact that Byron was a greatly appreciated leader in the team's locker room. He will do remarkable work with the young prospects of the organization.
