Last-minute signing within the Montreal Canadiens organization: A hometown forward signs a one-season contract and it's Justin Ducharme
In the last few minutes, a new signing has just been announced within the Montreal Canadiens organization. Indeed, 23-year-old forward Justin Ducharme has just inked a one-season deal with the Canadiens' affiliate club, the Trois-Rivières Lions.
"Justin Ducharme will be back with the Trois-Rivières Lions on October 20th! The hometown forward will certainly contribute to the team's offense with his speed and offensive instinct." - Trois-Rivières Lions
This is an excellent addition for the Trois-Rivières team, as they will have a prominent forward to complement their top two lines. He could also serve as insurance for the Laval Rocket in case of injuries. This will be a homecoming for Justin Ducharme, who played with the Lions during the 2021-2022 season.
The Mirabel-native forward performed well with the Idaho Steelheads last season, tallying 14 goals and 19 assists (33 points) in 43 games. He also collected an assist in his three games played with the Texas Stars in the American Hockey League.
