MAJOR: It is now confirmed for Cole Caufield, who is writing his name in the Montreal Canadiens' record book
Cole Caufield has just confirmed a significant achievement. Earlier today, we mentioned that Cole Caufield had the opportunity to join a select group of players who scored 60 goals before their first 150 games with the Canadiens.
Indeed, Cole had 59 goals after 144 games before tonight's game. By scoring in the 2nd period, the small forward becomes the 5th player of the last 100 years to achieve this feat.
Howie Morenz, Maurice Richard, Jean Béliveau, and Joe Benoit are the other four.
It can be said that it is impressive, given the quality of players who have passed through the organization in the last 100 years.
