Major: Enormous bad luck for Connor Bedard and the Blackhawks as star former first overall pick Taylor Hall will not return this season
From the beginning of the season, young Connor Bedard was already on everyone's lips, and he is living up to expectations masterfully. The young prodigy already has 10 goals and 16 points in 17 games, which is excellent.
During training camp, the Blackhawks and their head coach Luke Richardson tried to surround the young man well by pairing him with another former first overall pick, Taylor Hall.
However, the news is disastrous for the former Oilers, Devils, and Bruins player. He will need knee surgery, and his season is over.
"Taylor Hall will need knee surgery; his season is over."

The only silver lining in the circumstances is that Bedard has proven that he can produce without having Hall by his side, as he has only played 10 games this season.
It's in the medium and long term that the lack of depth could hurt the team and Bedard, who will be increasingly scrutinized as the season progresses.
We will see even more the quality of player he is, whether he can continue to produce as much without having first-line players alongside him.
