Major: Milan Lucic faces potential prison time for a completely senseless reason that has recently come to light
On Monday afternoon, we received details about the arrest of Milan Lucic and what led his wife to call the authorities.
It involves domestic violence, as the Bruins' forward allegedly broke objects, including a lamp, and choked his wife. He denied everything to the police upon their arrival.
What has just surfaced is the reason behind his actions, and it's downright absurd. The couple was returning from an evening out, and Lucic couldn't find his phone. He was convinced his wife was hiding it and refused to give it to him, leading to the altercation.
«Operations relayed to the responding officers that the reporting party/victim called and stated that her husband attempted to choke her,» police wrote, according to the Globe. «The victim stated that her husband could not locate his cellphone after returning to their apartment after a night out. She stated that the suspect began yelling at her, demanding his phone back, believing she had hidden the phone. She stated that she did not have the phone or know where it was.»
In summary, Milan Lucic faces several months or even years in prison over a phone. It's simply pathetic, in my opinion.
Today is when number 17 goes to court. We'll likely get more details from the authorities or the NHL, which will undoubtedly have to make a decision in this case.
