Joshua Roy played his first NHL game on Saturday night and will play his second tonight against the formidable Colorado Avalanche. Martin St-Louis did his best not to have him face Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, and it's likely he'll do the same against Nathan MacKinnon and Mikko Rantanen.

Even though he had a decent outing and even if he contributes on the scoresheet tonight, Joshua might only be passing through Montreal.

Forward Tanner Pearson returned to practice with his teammates this morning, and his return to play is imminent. He was also on the ice Sunday morning ahead of his teammates.

"Tanner Pearson is nearing a return to play. Here he is on the ice this morning before the practice session. He's been out since December 9th (upper body)."

- Patrick Friolet, RDS

We know that Pearson had a fractured finger, so his rehabilitation won't be very long. A few practices, and he'll be in the lineup, likely signaling the end of Roy's time in Montreal for now.

It's crucial for Joshua to play significant minutes in Laval and continue his good work, all while learning what it means to be a professional.
