Major Turnaround: Logan Mailloux still hasn't received the green light from the NHL
While Montreal fans thought that the case involving the Canadiens' prospect, Logan Mailloux, was finally settled, Jonathan Bernier has just reported contradictory information.
Indeed, according to him, the organization still hasn't received an official confirmation from Gary Bettman for the 20-year-old defenseman to play in the NHL in 2023-2024.
"The Canadiens have not yet received an official confirmation from the NHL regarding the absolution that Gary Bettman granted Logan Mailloux to allow him to play in the NHL." - Jonathan Bernier
Wow! Yet, Renaud Lavoie did indeed confirm last week that Logan Mailloux had received the green light from the NHL and that he could make his debut in the NHL this season.
"According to several sources, Logan Mailloux has been given the green light to play in the NHL when he earns a spot with the Canadiens, ending all speculations." - Renaud Lavoie
Clearly, this matter is getting more and more complicated, and we still don't understand why the league's commissioner hasn't made an official decision regarding the Habs defenseman.
We are optimistic that a final verdict will be rendered before the season starts, but the wait is simply endless. One thing's for sure, Logan Mailloux must be eager to finally get authorization from the NHL to fully focus on training camp.
This will indeed be a case to watch over the next few weeks!
